U.S. Coast Guard Welcomes Citizen Opinions on Madisonville Drawbridge Opening Schedule

The U.S. Coast Guard Station New Orleans released the following statement on May 18, 2017:

The temporary drawbridge opening schedule implemented in November of 2016, by the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) in cooperation with the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LADOTD) as part of a traffic study in the Town of Madisonville, has expired. Before any permanent changes are implemented to the bridge opening schedule, the USCG must review findings from the traffic study, and decide what actions will follow. As part of this process, the U.S. Coast Guard may hold a public meeting to gather citizen input. We encourage any citizen who wishes to express an opinion to contact the U.S.Coast Guard at [email protected]
