WELCOME

From The Mayor

As Mayor of the Town of Madisonville, it is a pleasure to welcome you to our town’s website. As you browse the site, you will find information on the history of our town, community events and much more. On our website, you will also find office hours, town meeting dates and minutes, online utility and traffic payments and a gallery of photos.

We’re excited about our growth! We have beautiful river front views with places for families to get together and boaters to launch, dock and fish. Madisonville has many wonderful dining and shopping opportunities. We also have two museums that hold treasures from our past. The Lake Pontchartrain Basin Maritime Museum (133 Mabel Dr.) offers maritime history while our Madisonville Historic Museum (201 Cedar St.) holds local Native American history, Civil War history, and history of the families that founded Madisonville. Madisonville is also home to the oldest cemetery in St. Tammany Parish.
Madisonville is a great place to visit and even better place to live, with warm and inviting residents. We’re striving to keep that small-town charm while offering big town amenities. Whenever you have a minute, an hour, or a day come visit us in Madisonville.

We’ll make you feel right at home!

Jean Pelloat
